Title	Opening Ceremony Held for Cheongju Land Kids’ Experience Center

Subject	Cheongju Land Kids’ Experience Center (hereinafter “Kids’ Experience Center”) held an opening ceremony at the 1F lobby of the experience center at 3:00 PM on July 26, and began operating in full scale. In the opening ceremony, over 70 people, including CheongjuDeputy Mayor Lee Beom-seok, Ha Jae-seong , a member of the CheongjuCity Council , and Director Yun Bi-ryong of Cheongju Nursery Association participated, and about 150 children were invited, with free experience events being held for them to enjoy. During the event, Cheongju Deputy Mayor Lee Beom-seoksaid, “The children should visit this place with their parents during the summer vacation to leave good memories in this cool and creative space,” and promised, “We will make Cheongju a city a wonderful city to raise your children in, and a city where all the citizens can smile together.” The project was first planned in August 2016, with the existing Cheongju Land Exhibition Hall 2 being expanded and remodeled into an experience facility where children could actually touch, creatively manipulate, and do physical activities in. A total budget of about KRW 8.2 billion was put into the construction, which lasted for 220 days. The facility has a gross floor area of 3269㎡ with 4 floors above ground, and is composed of the lobby and outdoor sound experience space on 1F, a space for infants and toddlers and a water experience space on 2F, physical activity space and light experience space on 3F, and the education hall and family rest area on 4F. Regarding experience time, visitors can use the center 3 times a day for 2 hours each time, and the admission is KRW 4,000 for an individual, KRW 3,000 per person for groups of 20 or more, and free for kids under 36 months of age.
