The artificial vegetation island fountain in Daecheongho Lake, located in Munui-myeon, is going to be in full operation after having gone through maintenance.
Cheongju City has replaced the deteriorated landscape lighting in the fountain, cleaned and completed a test run. The fountain will operate from 9 AM to 10 PM everyday until October 31. During the day, it will produce high streams of water to refresh and cool the citizens, and create an outstanding scene with colorful streams of water at night. The city government also plans to complete a spring maintenance check including painting and cleaning the observation tower to promote the convenience of the citizens. An official from the city government said, “We hope that it serves as a space where people who are going through hard time due to COVID-19 can heal and gain a small comfort.” Meanwhile, the city government created an artificial vegetation island and a fountain-type water circulation device in an area of 11,854 m2 near the water intake tower in Daecheongho Lake, Munui-myeon in December 2013. |
