Its aim is to discover and support blind spots of welfare by promoting the center and housing welfare projects. The video will be uploaded on YouTube to establish a linkage to the web portal. It will also be posted on the center’s website and sent to related organizations and public institutes to be shared with the public. Since its opening in May 2019, Cheongju Housing Welfare Center has signed business agreements with 19 related organizations in the region and with the KRW 125 million subsidy from the city, put great effort into resolving housing welfare blind spot problems by seeking housing stability for low-income groups. The center provides the housing consultation and information service as well as linked resources of private and public sector housing welfare services, and operates the emergency support Cheongju Didim House along with promoting housing welfare education and promotion projects. This year, the center plans to provide domestic waste disposal services at households suspected of compulsive hoarding by organizing the Kkalkkeumi volunteer group as well as organization and counseling programs for prevention of such households. The head of Cheongju Housing Welfare Center said, “We made the video to provide actual help for vulnerable groups with a housing problem by promoting Cheongju Housing Welfare Center as well as our housing welfare projects,” and added, “As people’s interest on housing grows, desires on housing is becoming more diverse.
