Cheongju-si opens “ROUTINIQUE,” a space for youths located on the third floor of Lotte Outlet (about 300 m2) on the 11th.
“ROUTINIQUE” is a space for youth built by Cheongju city through a business agreement with Lotte Outlet Cheongju (Store Manager Choi Jun-yong) and Youth Space 5959 (Director Kim Kyu-sik) to create a youth mall and a Cheongju cultural space. Lotte Outlet Cheongju offers this space to local youths for free. “ROUTINIQUE” is a portmanteau of routine and unique, meaning uniqueness in everyday routine. It is a cultural complex for youths with a performance place and lifestyle multi-shops that sell products of 19 youth companies. Jazz performance by young musicians will be presented for 1 hour and 30 minutes from 5 p.m. on the 14th to celebrate the opening of “ROUTINIQUE.” “ROUTINIQUE” selected the company that has a young man as CEO and it will be operated as a social cooperative to return part of its profits to the community. “We hope ‘ROUTINIQUE’ becomes a place of gathering the dreams of youths and Cheongju citizens to experience uniqueness in everyday life.
