Cheongju-si is conducting the Free Distribution of Toll Discount Hi-Pass Terminals for the Disabled project from July 23 to guarantee mobility rights for the disabled and support the socially disadvantaged. This project is being carried out through the MOU on special distribution of toll discount terminals between the Korea Expressway Corporation and ShinhanCard . In the past, the toll discount terminals were distributed at the total cost of KRW 108,000, with the Korea Expressway Corporation shouldering KRW 60,000 and the disabled passengers payingthe remaining KRW 48,000. However, due to this special distribution project, the disabled can now receive toll discount terminals without bearing any financial burden. Cheongju-si is planning to hand out PR leaflets through each and every eup/myeon office, dong community service center, and welfare center for the disabled , so that the disabled could receive these toll discount terminals. Those who are eligible to apply for the free distribution of toll discount terminals are the disabled who possess disability welfare cards (type B) .
