-invested 149.4billion won for 50 business during last 5 years. Chengju was reassigned as a "woman friendly city". The ministry of gender equality and family reassigned Chengju and other cities such as Daegu Jung-gu, Dalseo-gu, Gyeonggi Suwon-si, Siheung-si, Kangwon Gangnenung-si as woman friendly city by evaluating legislation performance, collaboration of administration, public participation, representation, economic activity, safety, infra of female of each city. Therefore, the city will proceed 2 stage woman friendly city business for 5years from 2016 to 2020. The agreement ceremony for reassigning and newly assigning woman friendly city will be held on next January, which include 66 cities. Since the city was assigned as the woman friendly city in 2010, it has proceeded businesses such as completing a woman friendly park, opening a CCTV control center, running woman safety pink taxi, certifying woman friendly corporation, constructing human focused street. Especially, as for the overall performance of woman friendly city business, though the public less recognized the woman friendly city, but showed high satisfaction for each business. The city plans to supplement problems shown in the public survey which is low recognition of the public and the insufficiency in running control tower, lacking networking between each businesses by proceeding 2 staged woman friendly city business process. The city authority said "Based on our experience in proceeding the stage 1 woman friendly city, we will proceed the stage 2 woman friendly city with concentration.".
