Cheongju-si Receives Submissions for Registration of Partners of Cheongju Pay, Cheongju-si’s Local Gift Certificate
Cheongju-si is receiving submissions for registration of Cheongju Pay partners from September 10. Until now, Cheongju Pay was able to be used in all stores in Cheongju-si that accept credit cards (approximately 70,000 stores) without any partner registration process, just like general credit cards. As the Act on Promotion of Local Gift Certificates (Enforced July 2, 2020) recently took effect, store owners who fail to register as partners are not able to accept Cheongju Pay or may be subject to an administrative fine from October 5. Therefore, stores owners are required to apply for partner registration if they want to keep accepting Cheongju Pay. Cheongju-si will proactively encourage stores that can accept Cheongju Pay to register as partners. Stores owners who have a cell phone under their names will receive a text message for partner registration. To register as a partner, click on “Go to Partner Registration” (https://with.konacard.co.kr/10-1) and enter your business registration number and store information. Cheongju-si is only receiving submissions for partner registration online to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Contact Cheongju-si via the Cheongju-si website or Cheongju Pay App if you have not received a text message. Contact our Customer Service Center (☎1600-0836/KONA I CS Center, ☎1811-7882/Cheongju Pay CS Center) for further information about the registration process. Primarily, Cheongju-si will encourage stores with previous records of Cheongju Pay usage to register as partners. An official at Cheongju-si said, “Cheongju Pay has been loved by consumers for its convenience since Cheongju Pay could be used at any stores that accept credit cards. I hope that all store owners register as partners to provide benefits for residents and revitalize the local economy for win-win growth.” ▶Inquiries: Local Economy Team, Economic Policy Division (☎+82-43-201-1024) |
